Hi,
My rig goes like this.
MSI Z270 A-PRO
4 GTX ZOTAC 1070 Ti AMP EXTREME
2 ZOTAC 1070 TI MINI

My pcis slots r maxed out now. I am planning to add another GPU using the M.2 Slot. Bt i don't know whether this motherboard supports if i add a card to the M.2 slot. I tried googling to see if people have tested this. Bt can't find any.

I would like to know if the M.2 slot GPU will work. If yes i will go ahead with the purchase of the GPU.

PLEASE HELP.

THANK YOU.

Hi guys. I know its not new, but I wanted to put it out there for those who are like me, and are tired of using several interfaces and web UI's to control all of their miners.
All bugs fixed!

So, this is AwesomeMiner in a nutshell
Awesome Miner is a Windows application for managing and monitoring mining of Bitcoin, Litecoin and other crypto currencies
Pool Management
GPU and Devices
Coin Statistics
Built-in Web Panel

Download link: https://goo.gl/jDBmXU

Here is the main user interface:

Bascally, this will allow you to control all of your miners. Heres a tutorial on youtube on how to set it up, and it also shows a
few of the features of this. You can use it to switch all of your miners into a single pool, or mine several different cryptocurrencies
like ethereum, bitcoin, litecoin, peercoin, and even a lot of the newer ones.

Stable version, works great. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Quick guide to flash your RX470/RX480 cards

This is just a quick guide for how to flash you RX470/RX480 cards. I hope it helps.

Download these.
https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2728/atiflash-2-74
https://github.com/caa82437/PolarisBiosEditor
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

If you want a custom rom (Higher hash, lower power), you can contact Heliox
For example: RX 480 8G Samsung: 32+Mh ETH, RX 470 4G Hynix: 31+Mh ETH

Use GPU-Z to see what kind of memory your card has

1, open atiflash, MUST RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
2, click on save to save the original bios, save it as RX470ogBIOS.ROM or RX480ogBIOS.ROM (for convenience)
3, open polaris bios editor
4, click open at the top left and open the OG bios you just saved
5, edit the timings according to your cards memory
6, click save, save it as RX470modBIOS.ROM or RX480modBIOS.ROM
7, open atiflash again, MUST RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
8, at the top select the card you want to flash
9, click load image at the bottom left
10, search for the modded bios you just saved and open it
11, click program
12...wait a minute to finish, when its done it'll say to restart...if you're done click yes, if you have more cards to flash click no and repeat steps 8-12 until you're done.

Also, when selecting cards to flash, it will only show 3 cards, so if you want to flash more than 3 cards, only have 3 cards connected to the motherboard at a time, flash the cards, restart, make sure it worked, shutdown, switch cards and repeat. And then make sure you have the right driver installed.

This is what works for me. I hope it works for you too.

Hello guys,

I tried to bios mod my Asus STRIX RX 570 4GB GPU so I copied and pasted the 2:1500 string to the ones above (until 2:2000) but this didn't change its Mh/s (stuck at 22 Mh/s).

So, could anybody hook me up with a good RX 570 Bios mod?
Thanks

Greetings friends, I want present to you the Atikmdag patcher 1.4.6 and 1.4.7, which cancels the driver signature verification. It is very necessary for those who have AMD cards for mining.

If you do not see the amd video card after the firmware or drivers are not installed. This patch is for you. After firmware the bios amd it is necessary.

atikmdag patcher

Download Atikmdag patcher 1.4.7 latest version you can here: Atikmdag patcher 1.4.7

There you have a version Atikmdag patcher 1.4.6: Atikmdag patcher 1.4.6

The version of atikmdag patcher 1.4.5 is already outdated.

You ask for instructions?For what?
Everything is very simple:
-Just download, unpack.
-Then start, wait when the program will find all the drivers and press "Yes" then wait. And that's it, it's ready!

Usually it is required when a driver is not installed on the graphics card from AMD or an error 43 pops up after the firmware.

Thanks to all!

Anyone built a rig with an AMD A6-9500e apu? I cant get it to boot with more than one gpu.

Had to take the a6-9500e out and replaced it with a ryzen 5.

I tried tinkering with the bios to see if anything was disabled or multi gpu support or something but nothing worked. And the internet had nothing to say either...

There is a serious lack of rig porn on this forum! I just spent a few hours getting one of my stubborn R9 290 cards up and running. Ended up having to make a custom BIOS for it to get it to stop crashing the drivers or whole computer, but at least this rig is back to 5 cards! Will move it back to the mining building tomorrow if it stays stable.

5x Sapphire R9 290 Reference Cards
ASRock H81 Pro BTC Motherboard
USB risers
2x PSU (Antec 1300W Plat and Corsair HX850 Gold)
Some 2x1s, cheap metal racks, glue and screws
138MH/s total
Total cost... I don't remember, they've paid themselves off several times tho!

Let's see your rig! Nothing too shameful to post - those 6 card rigs haphazardly arranged on your desk are just as good =p.

It will drastically reduce your power draw, you will get maximum stable hashrate and reduce the risk of your GPU being damaged to almost zero.

Quick Start Guide To Mine Ethereum

PLEASE READ THIS, OR USE THE SEARCH BAR. We'd like to keep this forum clean of repeat questions. Thanks!

I've made this quick guide to help people new to mining, and I'll add to it if I missed anything. I hope this helps.

Hardware requirements to start mining.

GPU: It's up to you to choose what graphics card you want to mine with. Do your homework. How much is it. How much power does it need. How fast is it in terms of its hash rate. The GPU must have at least 2GB of memory, AMD cards are best to use and AMD GPU driver 15.12. This Mining Hardware Comparison list is very helpful. http://62.212.74.86/~mining/list/
If you want a custom rom (Higher hash, lower power), you can contact Heliox
For example: RX 480 8G Samsung: 32+Mh ETH, RX 470 4G Hynix: 31+Mh ETH

Motherboard: You'll need a motherboard that has enough PCIe x16 and PCIe x1 slots to support the ammout of graphics cards you plan on using in your rig. The Asrock H81 Pro BTC and Asrock H97 Anniversary, are both good boards to use, they are relatively cheap and they can support 6 graphics cards with 1 PCIe x16 slot and 5 PCIe x1 slot. And you will need to buy a power button, obviously to turn on your rig.

Riser Cables: To use the PCIe x1 slots on your motherboard, will need to buy PCIe x1 to x16 riser card extender cables, it can also be used on the PCIe x16 slot. It's also great to give your cards some space from each other. I would recommend buying 1 or 2 extra ones, because sometimes you'll get one that doesn't work.

CPU: You'll want to buy a CPU that fits your motherboard. If you go with the Asrock H81 Pro BTC or Asrock H97 Anniversary, the Intel Celeron G1820 or G1840 works just fine for it.

Power Supply: You'll need to calculate how much power you need. For example, I have a 6 card AMD R7 370 rig, each card uses 110watts of power for a total of 660watts, and the rest of the rig uses about 200watts. So knowing this rig will need 860watts of power, I went with a good 1000watt power supply that came will all the necessary cables.

Hard Drive: A 60GB hard drive is all you need, and you can find a small solid state drive now for a good price.

RAM: A minimum of 4GB of RAM.

You'll also need to buy a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and its best to use an Ethernet connection not WIFI. You may temporarily need an optical drive, to install your drivers and Operating System. If you can do all that with a flash drive, that's great too.

Mining

In this link from Nanopool.org, http://eth.nanopool.org/help, you'll find 3 mining clients you can easily download and configure to start mining. Claymore Dual Miner, Genoil Miner, and EthMiner.

For example. I use Ethminer and I point it to nanopool, so I edited the start.bat file so it looks like this:
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
ethminer -M -G -F http://eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:8888/YOUR_WALLET/YOUR_WORKER_NAME

Then all you have to do is just run the bat file and you're mining away.

You should know where your DAG file is, because if you don't keep an eye on it, your hard drive may quickly fill up. You only need the 2 most recent DAG files so it's OK to delete any older ones, but sometimes you'll have to delete all of them. For me, I just had to search for the folder "Ethash" and put a shortcut of it on the desktop.

Also some helpful tips.

Set your rig to turn on when power is connected, AND set your miner to run on startup. Just google run on startup. It's a must and you'll love it when your power goes out and you're not home. When your power comes back on, your rig will turn on and start mining again.

Use a remote desktop. I use Google Chrome Remote Desktop, and I set it up on all my rigs. From my phone or another computer, I can control any of my rigs and keep an eye on them.

RX 580: Get LOTS of incorrect shares but no memory errors

I have a problem with the 5th rig i build.

It is running 6x Gigabyte RX580 8 GB cards, they have one-step-modded bioses, i tuned each card individually with OverdriveNTool and have Hwinfo64 running and showing no (or VERY little) memory errors. It's running Claymore (10.3 at first, 11.0 now) and except for the GPUs it's an identical setup as the first 4 rigs (the first rigs have XFX cards).

Eventhough i get no memory errors, 3 gpus keep getting a mayor amount of invalid shares. It are the same gpus all the time (gpu0, 3 and 5). I changed risers and the problem remains. It seems like the longer the rig runs, the more invalid shares it gets.

How can it be that i keep on receiving invalid shares while the gpus have no memory errors? What am i missing?

Claymore's Dualminer: OpenCL error - 4 - cannot create DAG on GPU

Hello,

This regards the following error:

"OpenCL error - 4 - cannot create DAG on GPU"

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6HNx74FwQi2VXJDZjBQbjQ0QWs

4 cards mine and one doesn't. If I change the cards or PCI slots, the problem will move from GPU to another. Where before it was GPU1, then it became GPU 4. I am running windows 8.1 from a 64usb drive. When formatting the USB drive I formatted it the maximum amount of virtual memory, which was 59gb or so.

I can't imagine what is giving this issue. After 10 minutes or less this dual miner requested to shut down because it was out of memory also.
Any ideas for solutions please? I've noticed I'm not the only one who has had this issue but I could not find a resolution for them.

This is the .bat file I am running:
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal address -epsw x -eworker Worker01 -ethi 8 -mode 1

I tested if it is this is hardware related also. Disconnected a random card.
Then 4 cards mined without errors. Reconnected that card, and now disconnected another card.
This second lot of 4 cards also mined without any errors, hence eliminating the idea that this may be a hardware issue.

Cheers

**This thread is for benchmark results only - post questions in other threads**

Geth GPU support is coming soon, in the meantime, the C++ miner is out.
The purpose of this thread is to post GPU results, not CPU.

First, install the client:
https://github.com/ethereum/cpp-ethereum/wiki/Installing-clients

Second, run eth -M -G
Of course, you'll need a GPU for this to work. Use --opencl-device 0 if Eth is not identifying your OCL device properly

Third, post your results!

The format is:

OS / OS version / GPU / Eth Version
min / mean / max: xx / xx / xx
Inner mean: xx.xxxx MH

Please post everything in MH.
Please do not post questions etc as they will be removed.

Update:
14/05/15 - corrected typo on opencl, clarified thread rules

Is isr number used to identify each gpus? I want to identify each GPU separately for my csv spreadsheet. I know in from ```show stats``` I can see GPU number but it does not show each GPU id like GPU Z does. Is there any good way to identify each GPUs separately?
Thank you

GTX 1060 resets itself from Overclock - only one card in the mining rig of 6 GPUs

$

Hi all,

I have a reocurring issue with my mining rig. Every time I restart the system the mining rig runs at full capacity at 145 MH/s. [6x GTX 1060] After a while (usually few hours) GPU no 1 drops in hashrate by 25% and the rig's hashing power drops to 140 MH/s. [see picture attached ]

I am using MSI Afterburner and I can see one of my GPUs returning to default setting randomly and I have to set it manually to my overclock setting. Once its back to my overclock settings it will stay there for a few hours and reset itself again. If I leave it running the whole rig becomes unstable within 24 hours and I have to restart the system again.

What could be causing it? Bug in bios/afterburner? I tried different overclocking software.

Is there a way to program restart every time the hashrate drops without having to do it manually?

Many thanks. K
