Hash rate dropping exactly after 24hrs

Hello,
I just joined and have an interesting issue.
i have 6 rigs. they are all pretty much a clone of each other.
windows 10
claymore 11.8
4gb of ram
same version of windows
all of them are mining on the same pool also.
Now all was fine till about a week ago my rig5 started to drop the hash rate from a steady 235 to a volatile random hash rates, down to 40 up to 200 down to 100 and so on.
I 1st tried to restart the miner and nothing helped so the only way this gets fixed is by me rebooting the machine.
Now I checked power settings in windows and bunch of other stuff but cant figure out for the life of me why just this 1 rig will randomly but exactly after 24hrs start to fluctuate the hash rate like this.
Does anyone know what else i can check or do to fix this?

Claymore stops running, after adding 2 GPUs

Hey guys,
I builded 3 months ago a new rig with 4x RX480 8GB and it worked fine. Im using win10 and an Asrock h110 btc+.
Yesterday I added 2 new RX480. Windows recognizes them. But if I start now claymore, it just closes after 2 seconds.
It starts like every time, setting some stuff and then stops here (I inserted a pause):

I deleted my antivirus and disabled my windows defender.

All,
I'm looking for some help in reducing my wattage at the wall for my x8 RX580 rig.
I've recently moved from windows to SMOS and my x8 card rig is pulling 1649w at the wall, it was pulling about the same when i was using windows.
I have them set up as follows...
core =1130
Mem = 2100
Core UV = 975
Powerstage 4
TT = 60
MF = 65

Reading through the threads i should be able to knock quite a dent in this, but for some reason i can't get down.

Would appreciate some help Pls...

Quick guide to flash your RX470/RX480 cards

This is just a quick guide for how to flash you RX470/RX480 cards. I hope it helps.

Download these.
https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2728/atiflash-2-74
https://github.com/caa82437/PolarisBiosEditor
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

If you want a custom rom (Higher hash, lower power), you can contact Heliox
For example: RX 480 8G Samsung: 32+Mh ETH, RX 470 4G Hynix: 31+Mh ETH

Use GPU-Z to see what kind of memory your card has

1, open atiflash, MUST RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
2, click on save to save the original bios, save it as RX470ogBIOS.ROM or RX480ogBIOS.ROM (for convenience)
3, open polaris bios editor
4, click open at the top left and open the OG bios you just saved
5, edit the timings according to your cards memory
6, click save, save it as RX470modBIOS.ROM or RX480modBIOS.ROM
7, open atiflash again, MUST RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
8, at the top select the card you want to flash
9, click load image at the bottom left
10, search for the modded bios you just saved and open it
11, click program
12...wait a minute to finish, when its done it'll say to restart...if you're done click yes, if you have more cards to flash click no and repeat steps 8-12 until you're done.

Also, when selecting cards to flash, it will only show 3 cards, so if you want to flash more than 3 cards, only have 3 cards connected to the motherboard at a time, flash the cards, restart, make sure it worked, shutdown, switch cards and repeat. And then make sure you have the right driver installed.

This is what works for me. I hope it works for you too.

Minera Crypto Mining Farm, What Is And Its Profitability
TOPICS: Cloud MiningCloud Mining That Is How To Make Money With Bitcoins As Minar Bitcoins As Minar In Crypto Nining FarmCrypto Mining FarmMinor Bitcoin Mine Crypto Mining Farm Bitcoin MillWine In The CloudWhat Is Flame Hash That Is And Its Profitability

MINERA: CRYPTO MINING FARM:
Mining that gives great monthly earnings of passive income

https://cryptominingfarm.io/signup

Cryptomining farm is a mining company in the cloud that guarantees a daily profit for mining power that we buy in this mining company. This is the miner's building located in Thailand.

Your registration number in Thailand and your tax information are: Life time Technology (Thailand) co. Ltd Register No: 0505560006411, Thailand
ISP Class 1 License No. NTC / MM / INT / ISP / I / 012/2558
I like this minera this in Thailand, because the legislation in this country against Scammers and thieves is very strong. I also love the passive profitability that it offers, that it is paying correctly since 2014, that it has no maintenance costs and its great compensation program for those who like to promote.

And what is the profitability in this Minera?
I recommend doing the accounts on the basis of: 1000 (THOUSAND) GHS
Note: As you know the price of Bitcoin fluctuates with the passage of time, to know the quote of the day you can use the page of: www.preev.com

The following example I do with 1000 GHS, purchased on August 12, 2017, at an approximate price of $ 160 dollars (0.046245 BTC)
1000 GHS = $ 164 Dollars and gives us daily gains of almost $ 1 for 3 years

Recapitulating better the graph Previous, I bought 1000 GHS, at an approximate price of: $ 160 dollars, and it gives me daily earnings of: 0.9 Dollar, that is almost 1 dollar a day, and the contract buys it for 3 years.

Which means that at month 6 I recover my investment and I have two and a half years left to earn almost 1 dollar a day for the purchase of: 1000 GHS. But I can buy all the GHS I can.

So it is a lot but a lot of money that can be gained passively with this mining company.

The guaranteed profit is: 0.0009 USD per 1000 GHS
One important thing to clarify here is that you do not have to wait to recover the investment, to be able to withdraw the money from the daily earnings, if it is your desire you can opt for a weekly withdrawal policy.

Recommendations: I recommend buying at least 1000 GHS, and from then on everything you can in units of: 1000, that is: 2000 GHS, 4000 GHS, 5000 GHS, 10000 GHS, 12000 GHS, 20,000 GHS, 40000 GHS, and you already know that 1000 GHS costs approximately 0.046245, approximately 164 dollars at the exchange rate on April 12, 2018, but remember to check the quote of the Bitcoin day, on the page of: www.preev.com

And all this is 100% passive gain , without referring people, without making sales, without working, only buying and charging.

The profits are impressive and the best of all the mining company is paying dutifully since 2014.

So if you want to receive these passive profits with the mining company, and receive 50 free GHS for entering, follow these steps:

First step:
Register to the mining company of Crypto Mining Farm, from the following link:

https://cryptominingfarm.io/signup

And in the register option, you will get a registration form that asks you for some personal information to be able to register as: you put your name, your username, your password, confirm the password, an email, confirm your email, fill in a captcha that certifies that it is not a robot that is doing the registration, and click on the green button that says: register .

Remember to register to the mining company of: Cripto miming farm from:

https://cryptominingfarm.io/signup

The registration form looks like:

It is very important that you save all your data to later be able to enter your backoffice of the mining company as many times as requieras.

When you register you will receive an email that you must open and click on a blue confirmation link. So that your account is confirmed and active. If you do not, your account can not work.

Second step:
Configure your personal data that is missing in the profile.
You must enter your page from the login area https://cryptominingfarm.io/signup , with your access codes,

And you go to the section of: ACCOUN- PROFILE, and check that all your configuration data of your profile is correct, or add the necessary data.

Third step:
Buy power of mining
To buy power of mining, you must enter your page from the login area https://cryptominingfarm.io/signup , with your access codes,

and go to the section of: BUY, or the DEPOSIT FUNDS section, for any of these two menus, you can buy, and you get: a graphic like the following:

To be able to buy you must select the circle, hold it and take it to the right to where you are going to buy mined, you must also select the time of the contract, I recommend buying mining power with a 3-year contract, if you select a mining contract at 15 years or with indefinite time, you get more expensive contract.

Contract of 3 months: 30% winnings.
Contract of 6 months: 70% winnings.
Contract of 1 year: 160% winnings.
Contract of 3 year: 500% winnings
Contract of 15 year : 2600% winnings

After selecting the amount and duration of the contract, you select the purchase button and you are redirected to the payment area: For example this is a picture of the payment area when you buy 2020 GHS, you make the payment and in a matter of minutes the confirmations arrive.

Then you can enter your office again and in the DASHBOARD, or start screen of your Backoffice, you will see reflected what you have purchased from mining power.

Fourth step:
To withdraw your winnings:
To withdraw your winnings, you must enter your page from the login area https://cryptominingfarm.io/signup , with your access codes,

and go to the section of: WITHDRAW FUNDS, which is in the top right of your office. The minimum withdrawal is: 0.01 BTC, and the withdrawal tax is: 0.0002 BTC, you select the amount of money you are going to withdraw, you put the address of your Bitcoin portfolio and you give CONFIRM. Your money is credited to you in less than 24 hours.

Fifth step:
To communicate with support:
To communicate with support, you must enter your page from the login area https://cryptominingfarm.io/signup , with your access codes,

And you go to the menu that says: HELP - CONTACT, and from there you make your request.

So i have a problem and i can't find the solution for it for some time now

I have a 6 x RX 580 Nitro + Rig that runs on windows 10.CPU is celeron dual core, 4gb RAM and a H110 D3A Motherboard,PSU Evga 1300 W.Risers are 008 version.Each card is undervolted with -70mv.core 1090 , memory 2090 and i average a 29.5/card - so i do not stress them to much, i go for stability.
The problem is the rig can only run in 5 GPUS instead of 6.Each time i try to connect the sixth GPU it breaks the hashrate of 2 other cards along with it, so i have 3 cards that mine with 0 HS , and this is soon followed by a windows blue screen and restart.

I tried switching riser 2 times.I also tried switching pci slot connection on mb.Also switched riser power cable and gpu 8 pin vga cable. Also tried taking cards one by one.
So what i found by doing all this:
The card is fine, when i connect it alone it works, when i put a second card in , it works aswell. This goes like this till i reach 5th card this time. When i connect the 5th card same problem happens, i start miner and last card + 2 other cards mine with 0 followed by blue screen.

It is really weird because i have 3 others miners with the exact config and everything works and is stable.

I have 3 screenshots wich show card working fine alone, rig working in 5 cards and what happens when i connect all 6 cards.

ethOS 1.3.1 hashrate dropping severely when adding more cards

Tryna setup a new rig here and its been frustrating me for the past 6 months..

Basically, ive only just recently been able to get all 8 cards working at the same time.

My rig specs are: ASUS H270plus mobo (0808 bios version)

-8x RX570 4gb, (2 samsung + 6 hynix)

-4gb RAM

-intel celeron processor g3930 2.9ghz

-corsair hx1200 PSU

When I first booted up with just one card, i was getting a stable 28mhs (24 hours running) on the one card... I then proceeded to add more cards one by one, shutting down each time, until all 8 were in. (side note: ethOS when shutting down using normal procedure, doesn't actually shutdown the system, it just goes into a code rendering screen similar to that when you have issues adding more than 6 cards without adjusting the bios, so i had to force shutdown each time)

Now all 8 are running and hashing, except i'm getting no more than 15mhs from each card. one of them is even running at <10mhs, giving me a total of about ~120mhs for the whole system... which is way lower than what it could be. I tried adding another 4gb more of ram but it made no difference.

I've already bios modded the cards all in windows so that shouldn't be the issue. I've tried changing the mem and clock settings but to be honest changing these values never seemed to do much in terms of hashrate. The cards have been hashing relatively stable for the past few days but its not worth running if 120 is the total hashrate im getting.

Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is the first rig i've built and its literally taken me 6 months, im so frustrated at this point.

So i have a problem that i can't seem to be able to fix for awhile now

I have a rig with 6 x rx 580 nitro+ 8gb, dual core celeron, 4 gb ram, PSU EVGA 1300 w and a h110 d3a MB.This rig can only function with 5 gpus atm because as soon as i connect the 6th gpu , 2 other gpus along with the last connected gpu mine with 0, so i have 3 gpus that mine with 0.Soon after this happens i get blue screen, and restart.

I operate on windows 10, GPUS are all undervolted with -70 mv, core and memory 1090 and 2090.

I tried switching riser 2 times, switching gpu power cable , switching pci slot order, riser power cable and taking each gpu one at a time.

What i found out is the following.Gpu is fine and can mine ok when it is alone, all gpus are working actually so no problem from here.Risers are ok aswell(slot, cable and pci jack), power cable also.
Everything is ok when i add 2nd,3rd and 4th GPU.

Problem comes up when i add the 5th gpu this time from the opposite part of the rig, so that as soon as mining starts after dag is finished i can see that 2 or 3 cards mine with 0 , and soon after , error screen and restart.
What is this?I never encountered this problem before, i have 3 other rigs exactly like this and they all work fine and stable.
PSU problem?MB problem?
Here are some screenshots.

But now when i start the batch file, when it reach Setting DAG epoch, the GPU just hang and blow very fast and loud. Next windows will freeze and went to error. There are several windows error, one of it is WATCHDOG VIOLATION.

I am able to run few GPU without problems, combinations I tried.

NVIDIA Mining Card P Series cannot tweak in headless Linux

Hi, did anyone successfully overclock NVIDIA Mining Card ( P104, P102 ) on Linux

I recently just bought this 3 card to try whether I can tweak clock and memory clock on Headless Linux.
My OS is Ubuntu 16.04 , tried all the driver until latest 396

Once I give them a dummy xorg using dfp-edid.bin way, it directly go to P8 state on mining ( test only in claymore ) even without the coolbits / Regdwords option specify.
The watt in nvidia-smi is shown as 23w/100w, never get pass 23w.

But If I disable the dummy xorg it can run normally but "nvidia-settings" tweak will not work, which is something that is required to modify fan speed.

Anyone face this problem ?

My option works perfectly on many brand of GTX1070 , but not P104 or P102.

This is my xorg.conf for /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Postmortem 10 GPU Rig random lockup/crash of entire rig EthOS 1.3.1

$

Hello,

I'm posting this here a Postmortem of my EthOS 1.3.1 10 GPU Rig that started having random lockup/crashes of entire rig.

I hope this helps someone else the support guys for EthOS were extreme helpful.

So the rig is a 10 GUP setup with RX580 8GB cards. A mix of powercolor and MSI. It was running fine since February when about 5 days ago the rig would randomly crash. No SSH and no GUI. At first I just rebooted and it would last maybe an hour. Other times only a few minutes.

I started trouble troubleshooting thinking it was a PCI-E riser. It seemed like 3 were bad so I order 12 risers to replace them all and have 2 spare.

It did not help. Still crashed.

Then I thought It could be the USB bus, so I moved it to a different ports. Still crashed.

Then I thought the USB media went bad and setup an SSD drive. Still crashed.

I tried booting to each GPU one at a time. Still crashed.

I ready some where it could be the PSU but could not see how it could be the case here. I'm running one 1300W and one 750W.

I ended up contacting Ethos support on an unrelated issue. The system would not boot the SSD on 1.3.1 OS image. I was told to put it in legacy mode.

Then the GUI would not load and we worked on that for a bit and just fell back to using SSH to configure.

After we had it setup and hashing, The support tech was not pleased with my hashing rate and provided instructions on BIOS moding. After that they reviewed the configuration and gave me some new setting for mem ( memory overclocking) and vlt ( Volts for each GPU). I made their suggested changes. The system was running better went from 272 mh/s to 300 mh/s with setting. However the system was still crashing randomly.

The tech had me lower the vlt more. Actually slightly below 950. He was thinking it was the PSU not being able to support the power needs.

It looks like he was right after making the = to 'vlt hostname 940 920 920 950 950 940 940 950 920 950', it seems to have reduced the power needs to where the rig has been running for over 21 hours without a crash and my total wattage is down to 1,169W from about 1,499W.

The moral of the story is that EthOS support is great and Taking time out to tune your rig can have far reaching benefits.

Here is a copy of EthOS configuration for anyone who's interested. Your configuration may require tuning to work.

You'd need to change the wallet and vlt [hostname] to be your rig hostname.
