@Heliox

You mentioned in this post that your 390 Nitro's post the numbers in the title (39 MH/s, 55-60 C).

Gotta say it, bro you're a genius.

How did you get these numbers?

I want to know everything.

I've found a bunch of different posts and managed to gather you're using:

Bios: Custom 390 nitro rom
Cc: 1260
Mem clock: 1500

What model number is the card you're using? Is it this: https://amzn.com/B015DXHEAW ?
Is the custom rom you're using in your rom package? (http://www.mininghwcomparison.com/RomPackage.zip)
What mining client are you using ?
What is your config.txt or your command line string?

Is there anything else I should know to get those numbers?

Are you using water cooling?

Do you think you just won the silicon lottery or is this possible on all cards with the same model #/ manufacturer?

You da best

3GB Mining Rigs stopped mining ETH/ETC

I have several rigs with whicht I have been mining ETH, they have all been working well untill yesterday. Each machine that has had to restart the miner or do a complete reboot will not load the DAG anymore. The rigs that didnt reboot/restart miner yet are still mining ETH. From what I gather the DAG should be ~2.4GB right now which shouldnt be a problem for these cards.

The error message when miner starts: Cannot allocate big buffer for DAG
All rigs have GTX1060 3GB cards, Using the Claymore miner (Phoenix has same problem) and the Virtual memory is set over 16GB.

Does anyone have any ideas why this happened?

Raven (RVN) X16r Miner Now Available for AMD GPU Miners as Well

$

There is now a fork of sgminer also available for mining the X16r algorithm used by Raven (RVN), so the coin is no longer in the domain of Nvidia miners alone. The sgminer-gm fork with X16R support by aceneun should work on most recent AMD GPUs such as RX 4xx/5xx series and RX VEGA just fine, we have not tested it on older generations, but it might be just fine for them as well. Do note that there is a Windows binary available and it requires you to have the 32-bit (x86) version of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 installed in order to run it.

The performance you could expect from the sgminer-gm-x16r is about 5-6 MHS on AMD Radeon RX 470/480 or RX 570/580 series of GPUs, though the results can vary based on different clock settings. On an AMD Radeon RX VEGA 56/64 GPU you should be able to get about 10-12 MHS, though again results can vary depending on configuration and clocks. Performance wise it is not bad compared to what users are getting on their Nvidia GPUs, though the latest ccMiner Enemy 1.03 fork for Raven (RVN) does provide higher hashrate on Nvidia GPUs.

Regardless if you are using AMD or Nvidia GPUs, mining Raven (RVN) might not be a bad idea at the moment as there is a lot of user interest and hype surrounding the coin and difficulty is growing. We are yet to see however how will things develop in the near and the not so near future with this coin as it may all end up with too much hype, but then again this could also end up being a gem for the earlier adopters as well. The difficulty of the coin has been steadily growing in the last few days and now with an AMD GPU miner available as well it will most likely continue to grow higher.

Hi there,

I am able to get some GPU's at trade price and thought I would offer these savings onto UK based miners.
(Sorry rest of the world, international shipping costs too much)

My site is below:
http://www.it-me-up.co.uk/Components/Graphics_Cards

The only mark up is PayPal seller fee's (3.4% + 20p) and a £5 charge my supplier adds for delivery.
I am offering free delivery on any orders via my site.

Thanks for looking

If you can get these cheaper else where please let me know and I will see if I can price match!

Looking for some Hash Rate information

Hi,

I would like to know what Hash Rate RX580's get dual mining different coins, so I can plug the data into WhatToMine to see what is best for me.

I am currently Dual Mining ETH + SmartCash
My RX580's get the following Hash Rates
ETH: 30Mh/s
SmartCash: 180Mh/s

What sort of hash rates would I get on SIA / DCR and other dual mine-able coins?

Thanks

ok so this is a weird problem, i have a 6 gpu rig everything was working normal until today, one of my gpus suddenly stopped showing in the miner and on msi afterburner it detects it but all options are grayed out voltage, temp, gpu mem, and core are all showing 0, still the gpu is detected in device manager and showing no problems with the driver for all 6 gpus but on nvidia experience its not detected and only shows 5 gpus out of 6

any idea / solutions ?

also forgot to mention i have the gpu connected to the tv via hdmi and it works normaly

Electricity cost caught up to mining profits, what else can be done?

Hi. With the recent drop of Eth to 500+, Potential earnings will either be 0, or some losses due to electricity bill. Am struggling to justify continuous operation. Should I stop? Or can I change to other crypto? It seems from whattomine, eth is still the most profitable.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Max Memory Clock / Transfer Rate

$

I am confused with GTX1070's Max Memory.
According to my screenshot below from nvidia-settings:

The above is when there are no offsets applied to either GPU or Memory clocks ( e.g. stock standard values ).
If I apply a memory offset of +450 MHz, the "Memory Transfer Rate" at the Performance level 2 goes up to 8054 MHz, so does the "Memory Transfer Rate" at the PowerMizer Information section.

However, when I run nvidia-smi:

$ nvidia-smi --format=csv --query-gpu=clocks.current.memory clocks.current.memory [MHz] 4032 MHz 4032 MHz

... it shows my memory is only at 4032 MHz.

Thus, my questions are:
  1. Why is nvidia-smi only showing 4032 MHz ? Which tool is showing the correct answer ? nvidia-smi or nvidia-settings ( via X )
  2. Has anyone been able to set the performance level to '3' ( highest performance ) ? Even if I select "Max Performance" instead of "Auto / Adaptive ", it goes to level '3' .. but goes back to level '2' after a few seconds. When I start mining, it still stays at level '2'.
  3. Has anyone been able to set memory clock to 8008 MHz, which appears to be the maximum allowed ?
  4. Lastly, I read a lot of sites which states that P0 is the highest performance, but the nvidia-settings output is showing the other way around. Which one is it ?

GTX 1080ti low hashrate?

I am new to mining crypto and am just doing it casually with my 2 home computers. I am using my computer with a 1080ti 11gb and my sons with an R9 390 8gb.
I am using PhoenixMiner 2.8c on both computers. Here's the question:

My sons 390 averages around 30mh when OCed to +75mhz. My 1080ti on the hand only pulls in 31-33m/h. Is AMD just phenomenally better or am I missing something?

P.S. the hdmi is connected to one of my gpu's and not directly into the motherboard

Nanopool ETC Claymore mining efficiency

$

Hello all - I currently am mining ETC using claymore with nanopool with average hashrate@810 MH/S. Cryptocompare site says that I can mine 1.84 coins per day with this hashrate. But in reality, am able to mine only 1.5 coins per day.
The average hashrate for last couple of days was maintained at 810 MH/S but still am not able to reach 1.84 coins/day.

Can someone help me with your thoughts on the efficiency/accuracy of these metrics? Also, is there any other source to check (I did check whattomine as well) the right metrics?
Appreciate your thoughts! Thanks!
