Greetings friends, I want present to you the Atikmdag patcher 1.4.6 and 1.4.7, which cancels the driver signature verification. It is very necessary for those who have AMD cards for mining.

If you do not see the amd video card after the firmware or drivers are not installed. This patch is for you. After firmware the bios amd it is necessary.

atikmdag patcher
Download Atikmdag patcher 1.4.7 latest version you can here: Atikmdag patcher 1.4.7
There you have a version Atikmdag patcher 1.4.6: Atikmdag patcher 1.4.6

The version of atikmdag patcher 1.4.5 is already outdated.

You ask for instructions?For what?
Everything is very simple:
-Just download, unpack.
-Then start, wait when the program will find all the drivers and press "Yes" then wait. And that's it, it's ready!

Usually it is required when a driver is not installed on the graphics card from AMD or an error 43 pops up after the firmware.

Thanks to all!

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Max Memory Clock / Transfer Rate

$

I am confused with GTX1070's Max Memory.
According to my screenshot below from nvidia-settings:

The above is when there are no offsets applied to either GPU or Memory clocks ( e.g. stock standard values ).
If I apply a memory offset of +450 MHz, the "Memory Transfer Rate" at the Performance level 2 goes up to 8054 MHz, so does the "Memory Transfer Rate" at the PowerMizer Information section.

However, when I run nvidia-smi:

$ nvidia-smi --format=csv --query-gpu=clocks.current.memory clocks.current.memory [MHz] 4032 MHz 4032 MHz

... it shows my memory is only at 4032 MHz.

Thus, my questions are:
  1. Why is nvidia-smi only showing 4032 MHz ? Which tool is showing the correct answer ? nvidia-smi or nvidia-settings ( via X )
  2. Has anyone been able to set the performance level to '3' ( highest performance ) ? Even if I select "Max Performance" instead of "Auto / Adaptive ", it goes to level '3' .. but goes back to level '2' after a few seconds. When I start mining, it still stays at level '2'.
  3. Has anyone been able to set memory clock to 8008 MHz, which appears to be the maximum allowed ?
  4. Lastly, I read a lot of sites which states that P0 is the highest performance, but the nvidia-settings output is showing the other way around. Which one is it ?

Claymore Miner - Crashes at Create GPU Buffer

$

Hello there,

I am using Claymore's Dual Miner V10.5 to mine Ethereum. I am using the ETH only mining mode. Whenever I run the start.bat error, my computer hangs and then crashes after this step: "Create GPU Buffer for GPU2"

Here are my specs:
1x Sapphire RX470 4GB Mining Edition
1x Asus Duo RX580 8GB
1x Asus STRIX RX580 8GB
Intel Celeron G3930
4GB Corsair Value Select DDR4 2133Mhz
MSI Z270 Gaming Plus
Corsair HX1200
Corsair ForceLE 120GB

Occasionally, after about 10 computer restarts, I can get the Miner to run successfully and pull 76Mh/s. But this only rarely happens.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi,
i want to share with you guys my experience to increasing the hashrate in claymore,
first of all windows defender and windows update assistant both have to be off, for turning the windows update assistant you have to go to task schedule and turn the windows update assistant off.
2nd step you need to mode bios of your GPU
3rd step install an appropriate blockchain driver for your GPU
http://how-to-mine.com/softwares/Drivers/AMD-Cards/AMD-Radeon_RX-Series/Radeon_Driver_Blockchain_Edition.zip
then you need to install MSI after burner for over clocking
now you can open claymore and enjoy mining

RX 580 Power Consumption :'(

$

Hi all,

I just got some Gigabyte RX580 8GB Gaming cards, I just installed them but it seems my rig is consuming a lot of power at the wall. (using wall power meter)

Default the system was using 980Kwh / 134 mhs claymore.

With Bios mod I found here (https://anorak.tech/t/bios-mod-request-for-rx580-gigabyte-aorus-8gb-hynix/7864/14)

without touching MSI after burner 1300kwh/ 183 mhs.

With coreclock of 1000 and mem clock of 2000: 991Kwh/ 160 mhs...

It just seems like these cards are using a lot of power... with RX470s I was able to get 160mhs at 780kwh, am I doing something wrong?

MSI after burner tells me each card is using 90w... so wouldn't that be 90x6= 540w? + plus the system another 160w, should this thing be in the 800's?

Can someone please lend me a hand.... I only have a 1000w corsair power supply and I dont want to kill it.

Thank you!

New rig setup - Rig wont turn on

Hiya!

Hope you are all doing well.

So I just assembled a rig but for some reason, it wont turn on, do you have any suggestions to why this might be th case?

I am using a H81 pro btc 2.0 motherboard

8 gb 1600 mhz compatible RAM

Intel pentium i3 1150 processor

1200 EVGA Platinum power supply.

At the moment I disconnected 5 GPUs and only have 1 GPU connected via VGA to power supply and the riser cable placed on one motherboard slot

I have a SSD connected to motherboard slot and one cable connecting it to power

I also have a power button placed where it should be

This is pretty much it but for some reason when I connect the supply to power socket and turn on then theres no response but then I try to click the power button and still theres no response.

Shall I connect all GPUS and also extra power (PERIF) to motherboard and PSU and then try?

I am not sure what I am doing wrong, please let me know if you can assist.

Thanks again

3gb cards no longer good for mining ethereum?

I have 2 gtx 1060 3gbs which seem to have problems creating the dag files.

Can anyone confirm that the Dag file is now too large for these cards?? Could this be specific to my mining rig?

I have a couple of cards with larger memory and they seem ok.

AMD and NVidia Target Prices Cut down by Wall Street Analysts Because of new Bitmain ASIC

$

Susquehanna, the Wall Street firm, has reduced the ratings of AMD, the semiconductor firm known for its GPUs from neutral to negative and lowered the price target for AMD citing the stiff competition from Bitmain, the cryptocurrency mining company.

According to Christopher Rolland, an analyst, Bitmain has developed an ASIC (Application –specific integrated circuit) which will be used to mine Ethereum, and the shipments will be ready by the second quarter of 2018.

“It is certain that Bitmain is the largest ASIC vendor (accounting for 70-80% of Bitcoin mining ASICs). Apart from Bitmain, there are other three different companies currently working Ethereum ASICs,” added the analyst.

Hi there!
Anybody created a Bios-mod for XFX RX480 cards? I made some bios modifications on this card which gave me 31,4 MH/s with 85 Watts (GPUz). By the way: you can squeeze out some more hashes if you reduce monitor resolution to lowest possible. Gave me another 0,1 hashes :-)

3GB Mining Rigs stopped mining ETH/ETC

I have several rigs with whicht I have been mining ETH, they have all been working well untill yesterday. Each machine that has had to restart the miner or do a complete reboot will not load the DAG anymore. The rigs that didnt reboot/restart miner yet are still mining ETH. From what I gather the DAG should be ~2.4GB right now which shouldnt be a problem for these cards.

The error message when miner starts: Cannot allocate big buffer for DAG
All rigs have GTX1060 3GB cards, Using the Claymore miner (Phoenix has same problem) and the Virtual memory is set over 16GB.

Does anyone have any ideas why this happened?

Using 2 HP Server Power Supplies on rig build?

$

0
So I have traditionally always used desktop power supplies for my rig builds and am now planning to use HP Server Power Supplies since they are obviously cheaper and more reliable. Using a single 1200W HP Power supplies seems pretty straight forward to me, but is there a way to chain 2 power supplies together for a rig build in the similar way like I have chained two EVGA power supplies in together so they startup simultaneously? If so how is this done? I ask because it seems like my rig build is going to consume close to 1650 watts so, I was would like to use one 750W and one 1200W power supply if it's possible.

Thanks.
