Do you guys want an ethOS Custom Web Stats Panel?

$

Yo,
I am planning to setup a custom web statistics panel for ethos since gpushack is asking for a lot of amount.
I can make anywhere from a simple raw html panel to a well designed CSS panel with email notifications and stuff.
I want to keep the panel simple and short, not displaying unnecessary data like on the ethOS Panel, if needed all those information can be showed in a more detailed page about the rig.

I'll be needing more than a few Yeses to the poll to get motivated enough to start the project.
Please provide your responses and feedbacks to help me make this project successful.
Thank You

Need 10 watts per each MHs produced

Do you agree (check on your riggers setup) that, for each MHs your riggers is producing, you need power in the range 8 to 10 watts ?

Examples:

6x AMD RX580 = 180 MHs will require 1500 to 1800w PSU
6x Nvidia1060 = 140 MHs will require 1100 to 1400w PSU

(Considering 80% as limit to protect long life your PSU)

HELP NEEDED - Problems setting up hybrid (amd+nvidia) rig on HiveOS

I'm trying to move out from Windows to HiveOS. My first try was very harsh. Here is why, and also need some help.

1) JUST A SUGGESTION HERE: I started yesterday at 9pm and ended up on 2am without being able to get to a good OC config without the rig crashing. That haven't happened to me much on Windows, not even close to how much happened yesterday, as I used HWInfo to monitor for memory errors. I know that building something like this on this OS is difficult, but it is a must. If HiveOS had this, there would be no other linux distibution to even think about.

2) HELP NEEDED HERE: Now, something VERY weird... When the rig crashes, it reboots. Ok. But when this happens, the system boots without recognizing the USB stick. I have to wait a few seconds and reboot again. Anyone seen anything like this? I'm using Asrock H110 BTC PRO+ mb.

3) HELP NEEDED HERE: I have a hybrid rig (8amd+3nvidia) (https://imgur.com/a/e3Jvx), and I'm kinda confused on how to set up OC for individual cards. On AMD OC, do I pretend there is no nvidia and set up 8 values, same on NVIDIA OC, setting up 3 values? Maybe this is the cause that the rig is crashing so much... Maybe I don't know the correct positions to apply oc to these cards...!?

Still on topic 3, in this image (https://imgur.com/a/bHNAN), am i applying 2050 to position 4 on the left (GFORCE GTX 1070) or to position 5 (Radeon RX 580)?

Thanks a lot!

GTX 1060 Ethereum rig

Finally I decided to build my Ethereum rig with 6 Gtx 1060 (6gb version). I would have some questions:

-How do I check what type of RAM the graphic card is? It is true that only Samsung and Micron RAM allow a good overclock? Wich GTX 1060 brand should I choose?

-What kind of power supply do you recommend? 850w is ok?

-Ram? 4 gb should be ok... DDR 4?

-Motherboard and cpu: A normal Celeron would be ok, right?. Wich one exactly? I obviously also need to find a motherboard that supports that type of cpu. ASRock maybe is a good choice. Wich model should I choose?

Thank you! :)

I have 4x MSI gtx 1060 ocv2. my stock hashrate is 62MH/S and when add +500 memory clock with afterburner I get 74MH/S.
im using `ethminer 0.11.0 "Optimized Nvidia mining"` on win 10 64 bit. everywhere I see each 1060 gives atleast 19MH/S and 23MH/S when overclocked.
How can I achieve this??

Claymore Crashes Window at Create GPU Buffer (Z170 MOBO)

Hello,

I am attempting to use Claymore's Dual Miner V11 to mine Ethereum/XVG. I have also attempted using the ETH only mining mode. Whenever I run the start.bat, my computer hangs and then crashes every single time causing hard boot after this step: "Create GPU Buffer for GPUX" - the GPU has changed to all of them (0-5) through multiple attempts. I have attempted to run the miner with each single GPU (and other 5 disconnected) unsuccessfully. I have tested the miner on my regular desktop and bat file runs without difficulty.

Here are my specs:
x6 XFX Radeon 570 (all 6 cards appear in device manager - DDU successfully run - all changed to compute mode via AMD settings - current software version 18.2.1 adrenalin)
Intel Pentium G4400 Skylake Dual-Core 3.3 GHz
4GB Kingston HyperX FURY Black 2133MHz DDR4 (have also attempted x2 for 8GB without success)
ASUS Z170 Maximus VIII (bios updated via EZ FLASH)
EVGA SuperNOVA 1200W P2 80+ PLATINUM
Silicon Power 60GB SSD (have attempted running this as a third output for the 3 SATA cables each running two of the GPUs and given its own 4th SATA cable)
Windows 10 (installed via bootable UEFI USB)

Bios settings:
DMI max link speed gen 2
PEG PCI link speed gen 2
PCIE confing PCIE speed gen 2
Disabled LED Lighting
Disabled HD Audio
Above 4G Decoding Enabled
Disabled Integrated Graphics (this was necessary for system to recognize 6 GPU)

start.bat file:
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool us2.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal WalletNumber.WalletName -epsw x -dpool stratum+tcp://xvg.eu1.unimining.net:5770 -dwal WalletNumber -dpsw c=XVG -dcoin blake2s
have also attempted to mod -gser and this seemed to slightly delay the crash
have also attempted to mod -lidag and this seemed to slightly delay the crash

Windows logs show this critical error with every crash:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

I'm at my wits end as far as what else to try. Any ideas are appreciated.

GPU OR WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM !!

Hi,
My rig goes like this.

MSI Z270-A PRO
4 x ZOTAC 1070Ti AMP EXTREME 8GB

CORSAIR RM 1000x PSU

I am running Claymore Ethereum miner on Nanopool.

My miner throws up error like this "
What could be the reason ? Can this be fixed ?

My AFTERBURNER settings are :

Couple of days back i moved the rig to a wooden rig. i immediately started having "ARTIFACTS effect". So i thought it would be the risers. Then i changed all the risers. I tried lowering the overclock bt still i get this error. But no more "ARTIFACTS"

I am now testing out which could be the faulty card by running them separately for few hours. Is there any specific number of hours to test a GPU ?

I also see a difference in AFTERBURNER. My GPU 1 and 2 is having this symbol next to it but other gpu's dont.

Can someone tell what this means ?

Some times GPU 1,3,4 Run same, while GPU 2 alone temp is low.

After changing risers. GPU 1,2,3 were running same and GPU 4 temp was low.

But none of the overclock settings changed.

My friend and i have been breaking our heads for over a week now. Would be great if someone helped.
Thanks.

I'm told I can make a Win-To-Go bootable USB from Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 machine... but I don't either. I've got Windows 7 and Macbook OSX.

How can I get windows 10 to my mining rig considering there is no cd drive and all I have is an empty SSD and 16Gb USB Flash Drive?

Mine was 2016 hours (84 days).
I had to restart because Claymore came out with a version that reduced dual mining fee to 1.5%. Otherwise, it was going strong!

Nvidia dual mining (1060,1070)

I've given my Nvidia cards a try at claymore dual mining eth+verge but it seems that the hashrate for dual mining is low.
I get around 22MH at Eth and only around 300MH at Blake2 verge with my 1060 6gb cards.
RX580 gives me solid 29-30MH and 1200MH at Blake2.

So my question is, are others getting low amounts of blake2 when dual mining with Nvidia ? Should I dual mine something else with Nvidia ? I used nicehash for ages but it's quite unstable and annoying.

Need help with understanding why 6 of the exact same card (Asus Radeon Strix RX580 8129M Samsung K4G80325FB, 115-D000PIL-100) all run at different hashrates. And how to get them all to 30mh.
All 6 stock were getting 26mh.
I flashed all 6 cards exactly the same using atiflash v2.77 and polaris bios editor.
2 (3, 6) cards sit on 30mh. Card 4 starts on 30 after reboot but then after 1mins drop back to 26-28mh and stay on that.
2 dropped back to 16mh with flashed. So i have flashed back to stock. Cards 1,2,5 sit on 26 and dont move.

(Cards 1 and 4 are stock bios)

Therefore I currently have 2 that are only getting 30mh and 3 that are on 26mh, and 1 that gets between 26-29.
Running 1250mhz core clock
and 2200mhz memory clock

1350mhz core clock

1150mhz core clock

Im currently using Hiveos on a usb.

Im obviously wanting to get 30mh on all 6 cards. But im not sure why 6 identical cards are not performing the same.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!!!

GPU Fans Are 'Pulsing'

I thought this was a problem with the OS, I've tried them all (smOS, Hive, Ubuntu + now Windows 10). The problem persists.
The miner runs, I get great hashes but the GPU's overheat and the fans fail to kick in at high enough speeds... the GPU's will overheat and the fans will struggle to make 45%.

I used AMDGPU Pro to test each fan individually (6 GPUs)...

One by one I tried turning each GPU fan to 100% and they fail to reach the 6000rpm, they get to 4600rpm and then bounce back to around 1500-1700rpm... then after 5-6 seconds they try again.

Any ideas?

Bricked my 480 cards with ATIFLASH... ERROR: 0FL01

Hey all. Tried flashing my XFX 480 8GB reference card and Gigabyte 480 8GB reference card with boysie's low power rom from this thread: https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/9400/boysies-rx480-ref-bios-29mh-low-pwr-eth-or-dual-mining#latest

I backuped my roms with GPU-Z, then went into atiflash and ran:
atiflash.exe -f -p 1 low-pwr-29MH-Boysie
0 is a non-reference XFX 480 card, 1 and 2 are the reference cards.

I only flashed card #1 (which is the number 2 card on my motherboard, and it is the XFX 480 8GB card), rebooted, went and did atiflash -i and saw card #2 and #3 is bricked. I don't know how 2 cards managed to brick when I only ran the atiflash command on #1 card.

Tried unlocking the rom to flash my backup roms, no luck. Here's a screenshot:

I've tried flashing the bricked cards with my backup (xfx backup, but i still tried the gigabyte one but same results) and a bios that I got from techpowerup (https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/184552/xfx-rx480-8192-160614-1)

Any help in saving my cards, is appreciated.

edit: Interestingly enough, Device Manager still detects my cards, and I can still mine with these 3 cards. So my case is different from all the other bricked users I found on Google. Very strange.

Bricked your RX 480 due to bad flash?

Hey y'all,

In my latest bios flash endeavor, I managed to brick all my Sapphire RX 480 8b Ref cards at the same time. Note to self: Never flash all your cards at once.
What do I mean by brick? After rebooting, my cards would start, but I would have a black screen. No Post screen, nada. I tried my monitor on each card, tried only having one plugged in, etc, without avail.
I managed to find a short description on how to recover your card using 1+8 method, so I wanted to share it with you. (Props to Mikhan, http://www.overclock.net/t/593427/how-to-unbrick-your-bricked-graphics-card-fix-a-failed-bios-flash/230#post_25463481). I am no expert, but am outlining the steps I took. I take no responsibilites!

Note: You need either a graphcis card or a integrated graphics card (I used an old graphics card).

1. Unplug all your dead cards, plug in the working card (I used USB riser, seating it could work but with the paperclip it's going to be hard).
2. Boot your PC, press F11 to access BIOS settings (for me). You need enable that you primarily boot from your IGPU (or videocard). It should be somewhere under Advanced Settings > GPU cards or similar.
3. Turn off your PC. I now connected my monitor cable into the VGA input on my motherboard (so it was not directly plugged into the GPU card)
4. Turn your PC on to ensure that you can boot. If OK, turn off.
5. Unplug your working card, and connect one of your dead cards (Power+riser). Keep the monitor cable connected to the motherboard.
6. Use the 1+8 method. This means you connect pins 1 and 8 on your dead GPU using a paperclip, you bridge the pins so that they touch.

7. Turn on your PC. Post screen should appear. If not, check that paperclip is touching pins 1 and 8 (I gave it a nudge).
8. Once in Windows, open the cmd admin prompt for atiflash. Run atiflash -i and your dead card should appear, but state "fail".
9. Remove the paperclip, re-run atiflash -i, now you should see BIOS version (I liked to take this extra step).
10. Now reflash as you want using atiflash -f -p 0 xxx.rom.
11. Once finished, turn off your PC and repeat from step 5 for each card.
12. Do not forget to enter BIOS one last time to switch back the primary boot to your PCI Express card before you boot up using your resurrected cards.

Please Comment? If yes, could use a tutorial, too.

RX560 gpus won't work after flashing

$

Hi there,

I'm currently building my 6th rig and since the shortage of RX 580 cards in the market i decided to build a low-range RX 560 rig with 9 cards for a change.

So it's build and operational, but then it was time to update the bioses with mining timings and that's where it goes south.

I copied each rom with atiflash, used polaris bios editor and applied the one step memory fix, updated the bios, reboot and then windows reports the RX 560 card is not working properly... And not only one card, but all cards i updated.

So because of the GPU shortages, i have 3 different RX 560 cards. 2x Sapphire Pulse, 3x Gigabyte OC and 4x MSI Aero ITX OC, all 4 GB ofcourse. They all have different bioses and i modded each card individually. All cards have the same problem. If i reflash their original ROM, they start working again, but not with a decent hashrate.

The OS is a clone from one of my other RX 580 rigs.
I tried Polaris 1.6.4 and the latest 1.6.7.
I tried AMD drivers 17.11 (Crimson), which i found out are working the best on my other rigs, and the latest 18.2.3, but both have the same problem.

Anybody got any clue why windows reports the GPUs not working correctly after i flash a modded bios? I'm quite lost with this one. Please help.

ps. don't buy the Gigabyte cards. I found out they only have 14 compute units, while the Sapphire and MSI both got 16.
