So there's over 1 billion US dollars in Ethereum now and today a memory leak bug in Geth nearly brought the network down!
I guess there are two ways of looking at this: the network is very fragile and it can all disappear in a day... or the network is strong because they seem to have fixed it and it's still here.
I'm surprized the price didn't crash - but I guess no one could buy or sell when it was happening right!
When I finally found Windows binary for Geth that worked it took a lot longer to sync than it usually does, maybe because everyone was trying to sync at the same time? Or there aren't that many nodes back up yet?
This makes me wonder (again) about switching to Parity - is it easy to use? Do I just run it and it will find my blockchain and wallet that were created by the mist wallet?
