Hi!
I'm trying to fix a problem and I can't find a solution, tried some forums and stuff but I can't install my new video card.
My pc:
i5 2500k
Biostar TZ68K+
8GB Corsair
Antec VP450
I had a Sapphire 7850 2GB OC but after 4 years maybe 5 isn't working anymore so I bought a very similar but more up to date, I bought a Sapphire Vapor-X R7 370, the fans are working fine, the video card is inside the socket but nothing works.
If I try to use the HDMI from the new video card, I only see a black screen not even the loading screen, nothing.
If I try to install the drivers, after just starting I can see the message "finished" and nothing was intalled. Before updating my BIOS an error was there, something like "you can't install this because you don't have a video card".
I can't find my video card in the hardware section from my pc.
The only way to access Windows is using a VGA/VGI cable from my mother to my monitor. The HDMI cable isn't the problem, the monitor isn't the problem, my pc is working fine and this card is very similar with my old one so I don't understand why my pc doesn't recognize my new card. I can't even install the drivers properly.
I'm super frustrated right now, I tried everything and nothing worked.
I also tried a different PCI Express port so that isn't the problem either.
I cannot try this card somewhere else because this is my only pc.
Old drivers are not the problem either because I did a Windows install from scratch.
On my BIOS I have PEG/IGD, as far as I know PEG = My video card.
I know that the card could be bad even if it's new but I don't know, that would be rare. I can't understand why I can't use it or find it on my pc. I also know that my motherboard is quite old and that could be the problem but what can I do to solve this? I can't buy a new motherboard, cpu, ram, because I don't have the money for that, the only reason why I bought a new video card was because the other one died.
Please guys, help me!
