Which one is better GTX 1070 OR AMD RX 480?

I was little confused for choosing my GPU to start my rig. But here is a thing that I came across - https://www.coinsuggest.com/6-gpu-ethereum-mining-rig/. The post says go with GTX 1070 but everyone around says go with 480s. Also, one good thing about this is that I can shift to Zcash with this rig.

But which one should I go with?

REALLY FRUSTRATING! - GPU 7 hangs in OpenCL call

Hi. I have a rig with 2 Corsair HX1200i PSUs, 1 Asrock H110 Pro Btc+ and 8 Asus Strix Vega 64s.
I am having some troubles with it, more specifically with one card, again and again and again.
I followed the vega mining guides to some extent, except the automatic miner restart in case of power drop and the blockchain drivers.
On Monero or other cryptonight coin, using xmr-stak, I have no problem whatsoever, but I want to mine Ethereum in any case, so it seems that I have a problem.

The last time I did a fresh Win10 install was yesterday.
I saw that some newer drivers were launched on the 19th so I used them, version 18.7.1.
But it doesn't matter what I do, because after a while, the gpu still hangs.
The rig continues to mine, as I set it that way, but I don't want to lose mining hashrate so I need to solve this somehow.

I am giving you my last log file, you can check from 04:36:19:089, as that was when the problems began, and that was about 13 hours later after I started the miner. Last run was about 37 hours long.
You can also find my current normal as well as the problematic gpu overdrive settings attached. I tried to use the same settings but with those, it lasted like 1h or so before having this issue again.
Also, when this happens, the fans remain in the set RPM, but the gpu is doing nothing, and the temperature drops from 56-60 degrees to 25-30 degrees.

I changed like 4 or 5 risers, and checked their connection thoroughly, so this is not the issue.
I keep the cards at 50 degrees Celsius, and the one with the problems at 56, as I thought the fans were the issue and didn't want to let them throttle too much.
I changed 2 or 3 power cables, 2 or 3 molex cables.
I installed all kinds of drivers, after DDUing the cards.
I thought one my PSUs can't run 4 cards, who knows, so I disabled the other 3 and let only this one card run. After 1h45min, the hanging reoccured.
I changed the overdrive settings a gazilion times, but still no result.

It is worth mentioning that one time when the rig was on, not mining, just on, I removed the power cables from the gpu connection and then reinstalled them. After that, the RGB lighting didn't work anymore, as it stays solid white even if I turn the other cards' RGB lighting off or change the colors.

I imagine it is probably a faulty gpu. They are all new, but don't have any warranty, except for 2, which I bought from a retailer. The other 6 were bought from two people.

Could you tell me what could be the problem, as this is getting really frustrating?

Boysie's 31MH ROM for RX480 red devil v2

so here is my red devil 8GB ROM (sorry not 4GB) for the RX480

I'm calling it v2 because its basically the exact same settings as my V2 rom for the ref 480

You should get 31MH ETH and 340MH SC with this and around 170w at the wall with a gold PSU @ 230v

Temps are silly good as this card has a fantastic cooler and heat sink system and runs around 40% rpm at 71-73c in a hot room and is very quite

mine shows 57w GPU power but I don't believe that for a sec and expect there is a bug some where either in the card or GPUz and I declare this data as rubbish.

this card has been rock solid with these settings and I'm very pleased with it.

enjoy and flash at your own risk.

this is using the 1750 strap in the 2000 strap. I haven't had time to poke around with other straps but will look at that over the coming week as I expect there is a good option for 29MH low power like the ref card

Boysie

ps: don't forget to reset after rebooting from the flashing and lower the mem to 950, you also have the option of more mem if you feel yours can take it mine are happy up to 2250 but show mem errors in HWINFO so dropped um down for the reliability and less power

Why is no one mining on GTX 1060 3GB? I'm getting 23 Mh/s from one oc'ed card

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there is a caveat that I am not seeing in regards to GTX 1060 3GB cards.

Here in Australia they are cheaper than RX 570 (no 470 stock left), they use slightly less energy (tbc) and deliver roughly the same performance es the RX 570.

I bought one card today as a test and I oc'ed the memory to +1000Mhz. Card has been running at 23 Mh/s all afternoon, no rejected shares.

Which Graphics Card? 480/570/580

$

Im going to be buying 2 graphics cards soon for mining Ethereum which one should I get?
Asus (DUAL-RX480-O4G) $340 each
MSI Gaming X Radeon RX570 4GB $320 each
Gigabyte Radeon RX580 Gaming 4GB $340 each

Which would most likely be best ROI at stock and with modding?

Edit:
Also does Brand matter?
I chose the 480 as it is the only one I can get my hands on so can't change that.
But the MSI 570 I read online was good but I could get an Asus Expedition OC RX570 4gb or a Gigabyte Gaming Radeon RX570 4gb both for $20 cheaper
as for the 580 I can also get a Gigabyte AORUS RX580 for the same price, but for $50 more I can get the 8GB one, and I notice the 8GB has memory speed of 1000Mhz than the 4Gb so would it be worth it?

Also what are your thoughts on second hand graphics cards?
Thanks

The best cloud mining services:
HashFlare- http://bit.ly/CloudMiningHashFlare (promo code HF18SVALDAY get 10% off! awesome!)
Genesis Mining- http://bit.ly/CloudMiningGenesis
CCG Mining- http://bit.ly/CloudMiningCCG
I just didn't expected that promo code! such a surprise! Damn! It is cool!
I would also recommend to check out the decent cloud mining journal http://cryyyptomining.com best articles about that!
for instance something i understand from that journal is the matter of the process of cloud mining operation

Cloud mining is a complex service that sells the powerful device, ensured by enterprises that own mighty data centers. It’s kind of investment of money for mining of crypto money with help of powerful blocks forming blockchain.
These days there are three most widely used cloud mining methods:
* Hosting – platform where owner provides equipment to rent for cryptocurrency miners.
* Virtual hosting – renting of area on the server with following installation of tenant’s software for cryptocoins mining.
* Lease computing capacity of the server without opportunity to regulate its operation.

check that journal on that and other topics.

Hello friends. I will introduce Ethash Pool.

Pool Address http://bit.ly/2sOTjFs

First of all, I do not know if I think it is a nice pool. There are many advantages of the Pool and the server. We're logging in to Gmail on the site. You can open a GMail for this job.
There are servers in 5 different regions, and COIN, which you are digging, is able to excavate with shorter MSs sooner or later, and your income grows even more.

In particular, SOLO is seriously affecting the block finding rate in excavations.
There are 35 Ethash Algo Coins available. The good thing is that you are telling how many units you will get in 1 GHZ within 24 hours and how much you will earn on the stock exchange. As an example, let's go through MOAC coin.

Appearances of coins in the pool.

Pool Address http://bit.ly/2sOTjFs

In fact, it can be used as a calculator site. It can be used to track coins and how much you can earn with Ethash algo.

I will come to your wallet incidents. The pool can be opened as a wallet in your own room. You can start to dig in quickly without getting a wallet and then you can send your wallet coins to you afterwards.

A new feature. The site gives you an id. When preparing the bat, you are using that id instead of your Wallet address. What are the advantages of this id event?

On the site we have 36 ethash algoes. If you prepare and run bat with id, you can check your rig through the site. 36 algoes can be soloed or pooled in bulk.

You can instantly change the coin you want to dig. You do not have to connect to your individual rigs and set up different bat files. You can pick up the relevant Rig from the site and win the coin you want.

• You can define your wallets on the site and send it to your desired profile.
• You can keep track of how much your rigs have been interrupted in 24 hours and how many Invalid shares they give.
• From the Settings section, you set the starting point at which you start your bacon and which coin to start.

Hello, I am running 6 RX580s mining Ethereum with Claymore V11.9.

I am having one major issue, everytime I run the start.bat file, the miner hangs at "POOL/SOLO version" and eventually crashes. When I check the log, the last line is "start building OpenCL program for GPU 1...".

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
