[ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash/Ethash miner for CUDA GPUs (7.0.0)

$
0
0
Bminer is a highly optimized cryptocurrency miner that runs on modern NVIDIA GPUs (Maxwell and Pascal, i.e. GPUs that have compute capability 5.0 or above). Bminer is one of the fastest publicly available miners today -- we use various techniques including tiling and pipelining to realize the full potentials of the hardware.

Bminer also comes with REST APIs to facilitate production deployments (e.g., mining farms).

Bminer currently supports mining Equihash-based coins (e.g., Zcash) with 2% of devfee. It also provides experimental supports for Ethash-based coins (e.g., Ethereum) with 0.65% of devfee.

1 Gpu keeps crashing claymore miner and resets Afterburner

7 gpu miner on (6 msi armor rx570 and 1 asus strix 570 on m.2 to 4x pcie)
Gigabyte z270p-d3a with mining bios (all settings set for normal mining config, -- can't remember if its on gen1 or gen2)
Celeron
4gb ram
2x 750 +gold psus (3 gpus and the system on 1 and 4 gpu on the other)
cards have been bios modded and are set(using MSI Afterburner) to 925v 1100 core and 1950 memory
Windows 10
Virtual memory at 30gigs
128g ssd

So I've been having a really frustrating problem lately. This miner has been functioning fine for about a month now. Recently after the Monero fork I tried switching but found it to be pretty much the same profitability so I switched back to Etherium mining. When I switched back it started giving me issues.

The miner will function fine for a while (anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 days) then my Strix 570 will crash the miner or make claymore restart. When this happens its MSI Afterburner settings get reset to stock (1300 clock and 1750 mem). All the other cards seem fine.
The system will either hang and search for a pool until I remote in and restart the miner
OR windows will crash.

I have reduced the overclocks to 1850mem clock and 1000core at 925mv just to see if it stables out but it doesn't.
I switched the m.2 connector and riser with my nvidia rig (same base setup) but it still gives the same issue.

Any help would be much appreciated

3GB Mining Rigs stopped mining ETH/ETC

I have several rigs with whicht I have been mining ETH, they have all been working well untill yesterday. Each machine that has had to restart the miner or do a complete reboot will not load the DAG anymore. The rigs that didnt reboot/restart miner yet are still mining ETH. From what I gather the DAG should be ~2.4GB right now which shouldnt be a problem for these cards.

The error message when miner starts: Cannot allocate big buffer for DAG
All rigs have GTX1060 3GB cards, Using the Claymore miner (Phoenix has same problem) and the Virtual memory is set over 16GB.

Does anyone have any ideas why this happened?

Hello,

I saved my sapphire RX580 nitro+ 8G bios with atiflach.exe in dos command line.
AtiFlash.exe -s 5 GPU5-bios.rom 256
And I flash other cards with this bios.
AtiFlash.exe -f -p 0 GPU5-bios.rom
When I relaunch windows, it seems it was blocked until I unplug GPU cable, and so windows boot.
I try to use ethos, but I have the same result, and GPU is not detect.

Have you any ideas to solve this problem ?

UK Question:

What's safe long-term to draw from a double socket?

Context, drawing 2250w, 235v & 9.8amps.

The watt-meter has a "Energy Overload" option that states 3120w, I'm assuming this is the max draw from the socket and I'm running around 60-65%.

The socket is warm to touch but not hot, can safely hold your hand against it without any bother forever.

I was running this rig with a card directly plugged into the pci-e x16 slot until I was able to pickup the last two cards. I assumed the pcie-x1 riser cables would work with this slot. I did notice it says it's a PCI Express 3 slot, does that mean I need to get the x16 riser cable?

I would also recommend to check out the decent cloud mining journal http://cryyyptomining.com best articles about that!
for instance something i understand from that journal is the matter of the process of cloud mining operation

Cloud mining is a complex service that sells the powerful device, ensured by enterprises that own mighty data centers. It’s kind of investment of money for mining of crypto money with help of powerful blocks forming blockchain.
These days there are three most widely used cloud mining methods:
* Hosting – platform where owner provides equipment to rent for cryptocurrency miners.
* Virtual hosting – renting of area on the server with following installation of tenant’s software for cryptocoins mining.
* Lease computing capacity of the server without opportunity to regulate its operation.

check that journal on that and other topics.

**Minera Crypto Mining Farm, Que Es Y Su Rentabilidad**
TOPICS: Cloud MiningCloud Mining Que EsComo Ganar Dinero Con BitcoinsComo Minar BitcoinsComo Minar En Crypto Nining FarmCrypto Mining FarmMinado De BitcoinsMinera Crypto Mining FarmMineria De BitcoinMineria En La NubeQue Es Hash FlareQue Es Y Su Rentabilidad

**MINERA: CRYPTO MINING FARM:**

ISP Class 1 License No. NTC/MM/INT/ISP/I/012/2558

Ethminer 0.14.0 / nVidia / AMD

Before the release of ethminer 0.13.0, everything was, in my opinion, sad. At the time, I returned to testing this miner and version 0.11.0 and 0.12.0 and always came to the conclusion that even with devfee 1% Claymore works better, more stable.

What actually has changed in ethminer 0.13.0 compared to 0.12.0? And the most basic has changed, in my opinion, the developer has rewritten the miner code to use Cuda 9, completely abandoning the obsolete Cuda 8.

Support for Cuda 9 appeared in nVidia drivers in versions 390.xx.

Recently there was a dispute about what is still better digs Claymore 11.4 or ethminer 0.13.0 (https://miningclub.info/threads/xes...ine-i-dwarfpool-nabljudenija-i-voprosy.35904/).

I decided to re-test this miner again. The test can be considered dirty since the pool was taken ethermine.org and the time interval is 30 hours and 22 minutes. Do not ask why this interval. Yes, there is an element of luck, and we know that ethermine can slip balls of different complexity and the element of luck has not been canceled.
