Which cancels the driver signature verification. It is very necessary for those who have AMD cards for mining.

After firmware the bios amd it is necessary.

Download you can here: Atikmdag patcher 1.4.7

-Just download, unpack.
-Then start, wait when the program will find all the drivers and press "Yes" then wait.

Usually it is required when a driver is not installed on the graphics card from AMD or an error 43 pops up after the firmware.

Cloud Mining - The Definitive Answer

$

Hi guys,

this is my first post here so please bear with me if I have overlooked some forum rules.
Anyways, I consider myself to be a kinda tech savvy guy, own some crypto coins, did some trading and have also built a mining rig myself. I am getting more serious about it right now and I am really thinking about using some cloud mining provider. Certainly, they can, in principle, be more efficient than any DIY mining rig at home.
However, I am really unsure about what to choose and if this really is the way to go. Here are some of my considerations and it would be really interesting to hear your opinion on it. ;)

1) Scam and Ponzis. I simply didn't jump into it because of a complete lack of trust from my side. Many providers promise a ROI that is just surreal. There is so much misinformation and contradicting information out there that I simply don't know what to believe. I am living in Switzerland and the crypto scene is becoming kinda big here. So I used some local companies for e.g. buying Bitcoin in the past although they have really high fees, simply because I trusted them more. Still, I haven't found a cloud mining company that offers the same level of trust and yet a competitive cost structure.

2) Future Proof. Mining (with proof of work algorithm) to me does not seem to be here to stay. It is simply too much of a waste of energy and not scalable. With Ethereum probably switching sooner rather than later to something else, others will follow. With a legit cloud mining solution I don't have the feeling I can recover my investment before major changes are happening. None of the cloud mining providers offer a credible solution as to how they are prepared for the "end of proof of work mining".

Finally, I talked to a guy in Zug (Switzerland) lately who is planning to launch a cloud mining service here that kinda addresses to above mentioned problems. But I think it's really just in the beginning phase since he could not (or didn't want) to give a lot of information on it. He mentioned that he wants to solve the cost problem by reducing imbalance energy of renewables in the power grid. This really is becoming a problem for energy providers and it would be a win win to help stabilize the grid and yet have cheap power. For me this is also more justifiable from an ecological standpoint. Anyways, what do think of that?

I would really like to invest but preferably somewhere in EU or Switzerland since regulations are protecting customers a bit better here.
Looking forward to hearing your opinions,

Mathhi

ETN is probably under a 51% ASIC attack right now. Bitmain???

Electroneum under attack?
It’s possible that this attack is being conducted by Bitmain, who appears to control large proportion of network hashrate right now.
https://np.reddit.com/r/Electroneum/comments/88wbkv/electroneum_is_probably_under_a_51_attack_right/
Here is the possible proof that ASIC and centralization are real danger for crypto security.

I only mine with my gaming PC and few gpus, affordable hardware was the main reason I got involved with ETH and other crypto and I will never buy any ASIC for sure, because they are used for months before available to general public and especially from company like Bitmain - Monero forked and imagine as a revenge they are killing smaller cryptocurrencies now - sucking out as much as they can before their hardware becomes bricked and useless. ASIC are cancer it's just too brutal.

Main question is:
Could Ethereum also be at danger when ASIC will control the network?

New Faster EWBF CUDA Zcash Miner for Nvidia GPUs

$
0
0

There is a new miner for Nvidia CUDA GPUs available for mining Zcash (ZEC) promising a slightly faster hashrate than the currently fastest implementation of the NiceHash EQM Zcash NVIDIA miner. The most important thing about this new miner is that it is not limited to only mining on NiceHash, so even with the same speed it is still a nice thing to have as it supports Stratum mining on other mining pools besides NiceHash (it does seem to support NiceHash’s Extranonce Subscribe as well). According to the author of the miner it is designed for Nvidia Pascal GPUs, but should work on older Compute 3.0 or higher Nvidia GPUs with at least 1 GB of video memory. Do note that the miner is not open source and there is only a Windows 64-bit binary release available at the moment, it does not seem to be based on other popular codebase and is not being reported as malicious software by antivirus products. You might still want to have something in mind as the user that posted it on Bitcointalk is a new account and not an established miner developer, even though it seems that the miner does work pretty well.

The EWBF CUDA Zcash Miner has a built-in developer fee that is set at 2%, meaning that every 10 minutes the software will switch to a different pool and mine for the developer some shares and then get back to mining for you. The author of the software claims speeds of about 250 H/s for Nvidia GTX 1070 while the NiceHash EQM miner does currently about 220 H/s on the same GPU. Our quick tests showed a hashrate of about 235-240 H/s average (up to 250 H/s) on stock GTX 1070, so still slightly faster, but not as much as you may want it to… then there is the dev fee as well and it seems that we are seeing somewhat more rejects than, especially when switching to mine for the dev fee. So while this may be an interesting alternative for users willing to mine outside of NiceHash, the actual performance that you may get poolside may not be much different than with what is currently the fastest implementation from NiceHash (taking into account the dev fee and the rejected shares).

Version 0.3.4b

EWBF's Zcash cuda miner.
Expected speeds 500 sols/s gtx 1080, 444 sols/s gtx1070. 300 gtx1060 6G. Stock settings.
Written for pascal gpus but works on cards with at least 1Gb memory, and Compute Capability 2 and higher.
Miner contain dev fee 2%.

Version 0.3.4b
A slightly improved speed of about 2%
Added option --intensity, sets maximum intensity.
Added support for configuration files.
Added option --config, sets the name of the config file.
Added support for failover servers, through config files.
Added new values to the api method getstat.
Added http api you can use http://127.0.0.1:42000/getstat address to get statistics.
Added simple web page with statistics, simply open the api address in the web browser. (Experemental)
Fixed couple of bugs.

Version 0.3.3b

Version 0.3.3b
Added option --pec power efficiency calculator.
Added option --fee developer fee control.
Use miner --help command for more information.

FAQ:
Q: How to select a GPU that will be used by a miner
A: Use option --cuda_devices 0 1 2 digits is id of the devices which will be used.

Q: How intensity works?
A: The miner uses adaptive intensity and tries to use the maximum intensity value, with the help of the --intensity option you can set a limit on the maximum intensity, this will slightly reduce gpu usage and performance. Allowed values 1 - 64. You can set different values for each cards --intensity 64 64 64 64

Q: How to use config?
A: You can run the miner like all previous versions with command line arguments, in this case the config file will be ignored. If you sets the --config argument, the specified config file will be used, all other command line arguments will be ignored. If you run a miner without command line arguments, the miner will try to use the default config file miner.cfg.

Q: How to use failover servers
A: This feature works only with config files, see config examples, supplied with the miner.

dstm’s ZCash Nvidia Miner v0.5.2 Available For Windows Now

$

The dstm’s ZCash Nvidia miner has been available for a while and we’ve been keeping a track, but it was only for Linux operating systems – not anymore. With the latest version 0.5.2 the miner is also released for Windows in a 64-bit binary and not anymore available only for Linux miners. The miner is closed source one and comes with a 2% developer fee included. It support Nvidia-based GPUs with Compute Capability 5.0 or later, meaning it is for Maxwell or the newer Pascal video cards. There is support available for stratum as well as for NiceHash’s extranonce, so it can be used there as well without problems for selling Equihash hashrate.

The dstm’s ZCash Nvidia Miner is supposed to be slightly faster than the popular and widely used EWBF’s CUDA Zcash mine that has not been updated for quite some time, so you might want to give the new miner a try. Our initial tests show a bit better hashrate with the same GPU settings as with the EWBF, though the difference is not huge. Do note that dstm’s miner has its own specifics that you need to get used with such as the use of a separate thread for each GPU and getting 6 separate workers on the pool from one mining rig for example. The interface could also use some improvements and some color coding can further help in readability, but in general it is quite Ok even at the moment. Do note that the 64-bit Windows binary is built with Visual Studio 2015, so if you do not have the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 installed you might get an error about a missing DLL.

New Version 0.6 of dstm’s ZCash CUDA Miner With Failover Support

$
0
0

When it comes to mining ZCash (ZEC) or other Equihash-based crypto coins on Nvidia GPUs for most people it is time for the EWBF ZCash CUDA miner , however it seems that the development of that miner has been abandoned a while ago. There have been a few alternatives available that we have covered with dstm’s ZCash Cuda Miner being a very promising successor. The problem with it was that there were a few key features that were missing up until recently, but that is no longer the case with this miner. So if you were reluctant to give it a try, now you might want to reconsider and test it on your Nvidia mining hardware.

dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner version 0.6 adds failover pool support, one of the features that we wanted to see the most to make this a really good alternative. It is not failover pool support only however, the latest version introduces support for configuration files as well and an option to control mining intensity for the GPUs. There are also a number of other new features added as well as improvements that might be useful for some people, but we can already say that dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner is now the better miner when compared with EWBF ZCash CUDA miner, so if you are still using EWBF’s software you might want to give dstm’s one a go. Do note that dstm’s ZCash Cuda miner should be faster performing in terms of hashrate with the same settings, also there is a 2% developer fee included with this closed source miner.

Bminer 6.0.0 a Faster Equihash Alternative Miner for Nvidia GPUs

$
0
0

Bminer is a relatively new miner for Nvidia GPUs for mining cryptocurrencies using the Equihash algorithm such as Zcash (ZEC). It is a closed source miner, available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and comes with a 2% dev fee included (optional, though disabling it apparently removes some optimizations). Bminer comes as an alternative to the popular EWBF miner, the development of which has been stalled for a while already, as well as the more recent dstm ZCash CUDA Miner that looks promising and is actively being developed, but still lacks some features such as failover pool support for example. So any new alternatives such as Bminer that are being actively improved and developed are more than welcome for the users and the crypto community as well.

Bminer 6.0

According to its developers and most users that have tried the Bminer already it is the fastest publicly available Equihash miner for Nvidia GPUs and we can confirm that our initial impressions are showing a better local hashrate compared to the alternatives mentioned. So if you have a Compute Capability 5.0 or newer Nvidia GPU used for mining you might want to give Bminer a go and see if it will work better for you. The miner does come with SSL support as well as Nicehash support, has some interesting extra features, though it is still very easy to use. There is also an API and a web-based interface available for monitoring of your mining rigs that can be quite useful, so go and give it a try and report your results.

ccMiner Enemy 1.03 fork for Raven (RVN) Mining Now Available

$

Raven (RVN) is an interesting coin that has been under the radar for many people up until recently when it got hyped and the interest in it has grown seriously in the past days. Initially the coin was only CPU mineable, then a ccMiner version with support for the X16r algorithm used by the coin was introduced for Nvidia miners by tpruvot however that miner has been a bit troublesome for many users due to power spikes and mining systems rebooting, so people had to reduce TDP or downclock and suffer performance loss in order to mine stable. Fortunately there is a new improved miner available now – ccMiner Enemy 1.03 that offers better performance and more stable mining with higher TDP and clocks (still depending on your hardware).

The ccMiner Enemy 1.03 fork for Raven (RVN) mining is available only as a 32-bit Windows binary for the moment and is compiled for CUDA 8, it supports the X16r algorithm used by RVN as well as X17. For better performance the latest 390.xx drivers from Nvidia are recommended, so make sure you are up to date. If you are mining Raven (RVN) or had plans to do so, but were set back by the problems from the initial miner you should definitely try the new release as it should handle much better. AMD miners are still unable to mine Raven as there is no compatible X16r miner available yet, though there is a substantial bounty for anyone willing to make one.

Raven (RVN) X16r Miner Now Available for AMD GPU Miners as Well

$
0
0

There is now a fork of sgminer also available for mining the X16r algorithm used by Raven (RVN), so the coin is no longer in the domain of Nvidia miners alone. The sgminer-gm fork with X16R support by aceneun should work on most recent AMD GPUs such as RX 4xx/5xx series and RX VEGA just fine, we have not tested it on older generations, but it might be just fine for them as well. Do note that there is a Windows binary available and it requires you to have the 32-bit (x86) version of Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 installed in order to run it.

The performance you could expect from the sgminer-gm-x16r is about 5-6 MHS on AMD Radeon RX 470/480 or RX 570/580 series of GPUs, though the results can vary based on different clock settings. On an AMD Radeon RX VEGA 56/64 GPU you should be able to get about 10-12 MHS, though again results can vary depending on configuration and clocks. Performance wise it is not bad compared to what users are getting on their Nvidia GPUs, though the latest ccMiner Enemy 1.03 fork for Raven (RVN) does provide higher hashrate on Nvidia GPUs.

Regardless if you are using AMD or Nvidia GPUs, mining Raven (RVN) might not be a bad idea at the moment as there is a lot of user interest and hype surrounding the coin and difficulty is growing. We are yet to see however how will things develop in the near and the not so near future with this coin as it may all end up with too much hype, but then again this could also end up being a gem for the earlier adopters as well. The difficulty of the coin has been steadily growing in the last few days and now with an AMD GPU miner available as well it will most likely continue to grow higher.

Asus Mining Expert cards disappear after reboot

Hello,
I am trying to mine with Asus mining expert using 13 cards, but sometimes when I reboot some cards disappear.
The problem is that I don't have on site support for my rigs and I have to drive a long distance to swap risers in other PCI-E position.
I was mining on Asus PRIME Z270-A and I got zero issues with it as I automated reboot when something crashed and so on...
But this mining expert is more like black box as it tries to be broken.

Has anybody experienced this issue? How to solve it? Thanks

XFX RX580

Anyone using the XFX RX580 for Eth Mining? I just picked one up to bolster my 7 GPU rig to 8 and wish i had not. It runs like HOTTER than HOT, SMOS does not like the Bios Mod, Low Hash rate.

I have 3 rigs now and a mix of Nitro's, ASUS Strix, Red Devils' all RX 580/570's but picked this XFX up as it was at a cheap(ER) price than a Strix/Nitro.

Anyone else having Heat Issues with the XFX?

Nice to know if it is just me and my bad luck or is it common for these cards?

Thanks
