Recently, I built a rig with a Gigabyte motherboard and 2 MSI 8gb RX470 GPU's. I was using Ubuntu 14.04, AMDGPU-Pro and Genoil's miner. My cards are not overclocked, and no BIOS modifications. I could start the mining process with no issues at all, but after 2 or 3 days of mining the rig would stop hashing. I would restart the rig, start mining immediately and again 2 or 3 days later the rig would go down. For whatever reason, I added another card, a Sapphire RX 470, 8gb, Nitro.., same issues but now I can't get more than 24 hours before I need a re-start. I tried a fresh install , but with Ubuntu 16.04 and still no more than 24 hours before a crash. Works great while it's running, but I can't figure out the crashing. Is anyone else having issues with similar specs and where you able to determine what the issue is/was? I know this is a very broad question.
When I read about hardware/software issues, the problem is usually immediate. The rig won't get off the ground, so to speak...Why 24 hrs?
