So, the MSI Gaming X 580 8G has a uP9505P controller, and no init regulator section in its VoltageObjectInfo table. As such, I attempted to insert one. I say the results are inconclusive because apparently, I did it correctly; or at least, the AMDGPU driver didn't die when it loaded. However, checking the I2C register it was supposed to have modified showed that it hadn't done it. This *might* be due to the fact I do not know the Regulator ID of the uP9505P, and as such, just made one up.
Next, I'll try an NCP81022, I think. My XFX RS XXX RX 480/470 GPUs don't have an init regulator section either - yet I know the ID for an NCP81022, so that can be ruled out as a cause if it doesn't work.
