The availability of 580 is really stupid. While there are hundreds on the way to retailers in my country, the date seems to be pushed further and further.
The motherboard I ordered can support 7 cards, but my budget is about 6x580 or 7x1060, which are about the same price (total).
We're talking MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB OC vs XFX Radeon RX 580 8GB GTS XXX Ed. OC+.
According to my calculations, it should be a somewhat similar hash rate (23x7=161 for 1060 and 28x6=168 for 580), but 1060 draws a lot less power, although since it's 1 more card, the power draw should still be the same.
How hard is it to mod Nvidia cards? I have zero experience in bios editing. I don't mind learning, but I'm not looking to jump into something very complicated from the beginning.
Getting 7 Nvidia cards to play nice in Windows 10, would I run into any bigger problems compared to AMD?
