Hello All,
Specs:
Win 10 Enterprise
4GB Crucial DDR3 Ram
7200 RPM HDD
4 RX 480
MSI 970 Gaming Mobo on latest BIOS
I have a a MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard currently with 2 GPUs (all Cards are RX 480) that are attached to the 1x PCI-E slot and the 16x PCI-E Slot.
When i try to install my 3rd and 4th card (I tested these cards individually and they work and mine) by putting the risers in this order:
RX 480>Riser> 1x PCIE
RX 480> Riser> 16x PCIE
RX 480>Riser>1x PCIE
RX 480>Riser>8x PCIE
The Card in the first 1x Slot has its' fans go all the way up to 100% usage, the PC Boots, I go into the BIOS and look at the "Board Explorer", but the Motherboard only sees 2 cards. Usually the 16x and the 8x card.
If i hot swap the additional 1x slots with cards as the machine is booting it will then boot into Windows 10, all 4 cards will be recognized by Windows but the system eventually crashes.
Does anyone have any idea why the BIOS would not recognize all of the Risers or cards?
Any help would be appreciated!
