Hello,
I just purchased two RX 580 GPUs for my PC. The main purpose will be Ethereum mining, but I’ll also be using them for gaming. I had to purchase two different cards due to supply limitations. Specifically, I bought an XFX GTS Black Core Edition 8 GB and an XFX 4GB. My current card is a Radeon 7970. My motherboard is an Asus Z87 Pro. My power supply is 850 W.
I've never tried to run dual GPUs before. I was originally planning to crossfire them, but it sounds like that would be a waste for mining. Will it be possible to run the two cards so that I can basically just use the one with 8 GB of RAM for normal operation and gaming but have the second one there to help with mining? Or is it better to crossfire them?
Also, I'm wondering if I should try to keep running my old card as well (it's a 3 GB 7970).
Thanks!
