Greetings,

I started mining Eth a while back - about two, maybe three weeks ago. I don't exactly remember what and how I set up (in terms of wallet), but eventually I had a valid address and started mining in ethermine. I can say with certainty that I have installed the Ethereum Wallet on the 25th of May, which is 6 days before the transaction took place, so considering the hashing power of my R9 290 it is a perfectly plausible timeline.

Recently I came to the realisation that the address I've mined to - 0x6aC50788b079DEECdcC6DE0934B64f59b9559731 (https://etherchain.org/account/0x6aC50788b079DEECdcC6DE0934B64f59b9559731) is actually not my wallet address.

First I would like to shoot down the most obvious: a) this address did not come as a default config in a miner's sample batch files; b) obviously, I did not conjure it up from out of nowhere; and c) it appears that this address is not a tool of a scam as it still holds the balance and, furthermore, it has not participated in any other transactions on the blockchain at an earlier point in time.

Now, I am not sure if I got a minor sum from a faucet or not in order to establish a contract (since I read that they can see incoming transactions), but eventually I ended up using the former address. However, after a quick inspection, both current state and backups of my wallet only contain 0x86e846f759da3025b65732ec133f41c16bc5aa6b as my actual Eth address...

I've read a lot online and when I tried to import the 0x6a... address as a contract, I received an error stating that the address has no wallet contract.

If I have somehow lost my files, is there any way to recover the wallet in which my mining has been paid out for considering I know its password?
Or, in case that is not possible, what would your advise be for a clean start? I am not that mad about the possibly lost ~$20-25, but more the time I have lost and the reliability of the servicing program stack of the coin.

Thank you for your time!

P.S. I'm sorry if my post has come out a bit messy, there is much that I have done in my remediation attempts and I am fairly certain I did not express my thoughts fluently.
