I have everything I want to start building a rig picked out... But what do you guys think I should do for a motherboard? I am new to building a mining rig, and in fact, new to crypto... But I am super enthusiastic about ethereum...
Also, side note, what graphics card would you guys recommend going with? Trying to minimize inefficiency by slapping as powerful cards as I can into as few slots as possible, so as to reduce the power consumption on CPUs and RAM...
Was thinking asrock x9 server board, 7 pcie slots, capable of quad x16s... Would need two power supplies if I use AMD r9 radeon 295x2s...
My question is... Would it be more cost effective trying to slap 7 cards in there, even if they cannot be all at x16... Since I think that's bus speed, and not related to ETH hashing per se... So... 4 295x2s? Or try seven smaller cards?
Power is about $0.16 kW/h... The four card rig should be capable of pulling 204 MHS but... It would also come close to 3kwh out the wall... That's kinda pricy
