Hey guys,
I have a H61 Pro BTC running Windows 7 and Catalyst 14.4.
I had the following cards attached to it:
HD 6990
HD 6990
HD 6970
HD 6970
That means 6 GPUs.
Now I wanted to add one more card (it a R9 270X but as far as I figured out the different generations aren't the problem).
As soon as I add the "7." card my device-manager tells me that one random card has been stopped.
If I take out one card then it works fine again.
Currently I took out one 6970 and run the 270X instead... but I don't know what's the problem.
As far as I know Windows 7 is able to support an unlimited number of cards.
Is it catalyst 14.4 that only provides up to 6 cards?
I saw a video from bits be trippin lately where they tried to run 6 x 395x2 on one board and they also only got managed 3 cards per board... which also means only 6 GPUs per board.
Has anyone ever got to run more than 6 GPUs?
