Mining on my gaming PC (RX 480 Nitro+ 4GB)

Hey,

I know nothing about mining but I do have a gaming PC with an RX 480 Nitro+.

So being the noob that I am I simply went to ethermine.org and ran the first miner (which is still running on my PC):

I got exactly 20.87 MH/s most of the time.

Would love if someone can answer some questions

1. Am I wasting my time and power or is this going to generate some actual cash? I like to think of it as a fun experiment but don't want to actually lose money.
2. How do I know my "status" in the mining pool, i.e. the amount of reward I've gathered until now? I understood they're only actually paying when the reward reaches 1 ETH but do I have a way to see the progress?
3. Am I only starting to get rewards if I solve an actual block for the first time or are there possibly miners who never solved anything but still get rewarded?
4. Does the "rig name" in the command line have any meaning?
5. I've downloaded Trixx (Sapphire OC utility) but I don't want to damage my GPU or make it useless for gaming, any quick wins there?
6. Can I stop and resume the miner from time to time or is this ruining my chances of getting anything?

Thanks!
