Hi everyone. I'm new to cryptomining but have followed the process for a while and finally decided to try my hand at it. Everything's going well so far but I've noticed that no matter what I do, my EthOS mining rig abruptly shuts down when the fourth and final RX480 is connected. What happens is the rig boots into EthOS, starts its mining operations, and about 30-45 seconds into the session, the whole rig just shuts down. I've tried everything I can think of to troubleshoot but so far nothing has worked. I've since disconnected the fourth GPU and even now, the other 3 are mining and the rig is stable.
I've already determined it's not a power issue cause I have another 1000W PSU powering 2 of the cards while the main one is meant to power the other two. It's also not a defective card or riser problem because I temporarily switched out the fourth card with one of the other ones and it mined for 4 hours with no issues. The problem only occurs when a fourth card is added to the rest. I'll also mention that I do have Windows 7 installed and attempted to run the rig w/ Claymore miner at first but the moment it started running, the whole system abruptly shut down in the same way. I switched to EthOS cause people praised its minimalist design and function and I also hoped that another OS might have solved the problem but this didn't turn out to be the case.
Any questions you guys have for me, I'll be more than happy to answer as I've checked Reddit threads and other forums for a solution to this problem but so far, either the threads are loosely related to my issue and don't exactly apply or a RX480 thread never listed a solution and it's still unanswered. Based on all this process of elimination so far, I'm leaning towards the issue being related to my Motherboard. 4 GPUs is the maximum it can support and I'm sure that might have something to do with it. I'm including my BIOS screenshots of options that you guys think I might wanna tweak as well as text file logs of the miner running with all 4 GPUs before it shuts down and the system specs. You can find that below. Thanks for any guidance you guys can give me!
