Noob Miner looking for some reccomendations

So I just got interested in Cryptocurrency and am interested in starting to mine Ethereum. (I know, late to the game)

Question #1 - I know this a tough question with a ton of variables. (Difficulty, Price of Ether, Etc.) But if I got into the mining game with a solid 6 GPU Rig running RX480's, would it be profitable, or at least profitable enough to pay for the rig over a few months.

I would be running on Windows 10, not currently interested in flashing Bios's (But may in the future) and my electricity cost is roughly $0.12 per Kw/h USD. I have a flexible $3,000 budget for this rig. Hopefully it is less then that, but willing to pay more if the rig will be more profitable in the long run.

Question #2 - Haven't been able to get a straight answer on this from searching the internet. What RX480 is the best for mining Ether? Presumably best hashrate and efficiency. From my reading it looks like the 480 is a better option than the 580 and 4gb seems to be more efficient than 8gb.

Questions #3 - What is the best mining software to use? Once again, hard to get a clear answer online.

Not going to ask about GPU settings as it is way too premature and I have already asked a bunch of extensive questions.

I'm sorry, I know these questions have been asked here before. But I am trying to keep all of my questions on one post to get a better Idea of the situation as a whole.

If someone very experienced would be willing to walk me through the entire process I would be happy to compensate you for your time. IF this is not allowed on the forum then please ignore.

Thank you guys in advance for your help. I'm good with computer and technology, but this a new world for me and want to get some real world answers from actual miners and not blogs and youtubers looking for clicks. Thanks guys :)
