I just picked up 2 Powercolor Red Devil RX 580 Golden 8G with Samsung memory. Looking for some ideas on reducing the power consumption of these cards.
At stock clock speeds 1425/2000 it dual mines @ 24.4 eth and 660 on Sia but draws over 200 watts according to GPUz. I did the basic bios strap mod 1750 up and reduced the GPU core mv. The best I can come up with is 1350/2250 1000mv core. Dropping the GPU core clock on this card greatly effects hash rate and dropping the core mv makes it unstable.
Ideas are appreciated !! Seems like a rock solid card so far, extremely stable, just power hungry.
