I have a PC Power & Cooling 1200W Power Supply running on a ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0 LGA 1150 with 5 FX RX480's with an Intel Celeron and 8GB of ram with a small SD HD. I have been running them just fine for the last few months and all of a sudden, 4 of the 5 cards are not spinning or showing up in Windows 10 Device manager.
I have the latest drivers, I confirmed that the PS is giving power to the VGA cords and the only card the works is the one plugged into the monitor. If I swap that card with any of the others, they work. I have confirmed all the cards work, they just stopped working if there is no monitor connected to them. Well That's not entirely true. I took one and plugged the monitor into it and then moved it back to the other and it is still working, but I did that for the rest and they are not working.
This just happened all of a sudden, anyone know what might be the cause? When I noticed it I looked in my windows and noticed the miner was locked up and Windows kept giving me a message that the miner application was blocked from accessing the Graphics hardware. Then I rebooted thinking it was a fluke and then I noticed only one card was in the Device manager.
The cards work with the monitor plugged into them, but I don't want to have to plug 5 monitors to get them to work. This is the stock BIOS for the FX RX480 8GB cards:
XFX RADEON RX 480 8GB Custom Tuned OC Graphics Card w/ Backplate (RX480M8BFA6)
