I've had a few rigs running on standard 110v power, but I found a 50 amp 220-240v outlet in the garage behind some boxes and with the increase in ether price I figured I may go a little bigger. We just moved in last April, and I didn't know what was in wall, so I checked the wire and it's 2ga, which is heavier than what I need, so bonus!
Easiest 'rack' seems to be standard box store wire shelving. I have access to an 8 inch exterior vent that moves 480 cubic feet per second, so venting isn't really an issue. Its outside in an insulated garage, and from running a couple of S9s sound isn't a huge issue.
Rather than doing pre-built standoff trays for motherboards I was reading some old forums and saw that someone used silicone cookie / baking trays and just put the mobos right on them.
Rest of setup I either already have or can easily get.
Mainly want input on standoff vs silicone tray. Thoughts?
