Hey guys, so it may be possible to know if your card has samsung or hynix memory before you buy it.
I've upgraded my rigs to 4GB MSI RX 470s. (still selling my 370s) I bought 5 cards from Newegg, they were all hynix cards, then they were out of stock so i waited a week for them to restock, they finally did but i could only buy 5 more from them. So I bought 10 cards, 5 more from Newegg and 5 from another site. Now the cards that came from Newegg were all samsung, and all the cards from the other site were all hynix.
The numbers above the EAN code:
912-V341-002 They were all hynix, 5 from newegg and 5 from the other site.
912-V341-006 All 5 from newegg were samsung.
I returned the 5 cards to newegg and bought 8 more from my other site, they all had 912-V341-002 and all were hynix.
(Also the samsung cards had Chinese writing on it)
