Quick Start Guide to Mining in Linux with Scrypt miner?

Can someone please give me a newbs guide to mining ethereum in linux with a scrypt miner please?

I know that Ethereum is not a scrypt coin but is there a pool that lets you mine with a scrypt asic and exchange you out with ethereum?
