Ethminer - no such file or Directory error after building cpp-ethereum on Ubuntu 14.04

Hello,
I am new to all of this, although I do some programming on Windows and the web.
I have a small rig I want to use for mining ethereum. It is a dell inspiron 560.
It has a new Nvidia GE-Force 610 video card, with driver. (2 gigs memory) I have installed CUDA from here (https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-downloads) for ubuntu, using the deb-local version.
To build cpp-ethereum, I followed the instructions from here - http://www.ethdocs.org/en/latest/ethereum-clients/cpp-ethereum/building-from-source/linux.html and from here https://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/comment/8889/#Comment_8889

I seem to get a successful build when I use make with no parameters, but when I go into the ethminer folder and run
ethminer -G -M
I get the no such file or directory error.
I have tried this from the build/ethminer folder and any other folder I figured might have something to do with it.

I was able to build and run Geth without issue.

I have a couple of questions.
1. Can I do GPU mining with Geth?
2. Has anyone else had this with building cpp-ethereum?
3. How do I get a proper build of cpp-ethereum?
