the postie delivered my psu today and i was excited to set it up with my 3 video card. 480s!!! I've plugged everything into the correct spots, used modulars for each components and not allowing them to run on the same line. went to chuck a big log in the toilet and heard a huge bang like a capacitor is exploded( could not see any that has popped) or i thought someone slammed the door so hard. went to check on it and the comp was on. tried to restart it or turn it back on. i knew at this point the psu is faulty . i was so fricken traumatised as i dont want another explosion happening again. i was for sure running around 430-450W. how do i know? i had the corsair 750hxi before the evga. now im back to using the corsair again. i bought the psu on ebay and now i have to take it back for warranty and a long wait to get the new one, at this point i just want my money back because im traumatised as it is with that psu and would just opt to get the corsair which has internal monitoring. anyone has any ideas or has experience this before?
